A Simple, Yet Fun & Inexpensive Outing for Those with Cabin Fever

Do you ever have a day where you just want to GET OUT AND DO SOMETHING FUN?  I was having such a day last week. (Winter in Chicago) However, we are on a very tight budget so we had to find something free or cheap to do.  After a lot of heming and hawing, we landed on going to a mall.  We often go to malls, so we decided to drive a little farther and go to one we hadn't been to in a while. The mall is a simple idea, but we had a GREAT TIME! There was a little play area, and I even let Tootsie … [Read more...]

7QT: Updates, Bullet Journal, Winter & More

- 1 - #Updates Hey everyone!  How are you friends on the east coast?  We're praying for you!  It's not too snowy here, but it is cold and we're in for the duration.  I have to be extra worried (despite Padre Pio's great advice) about Hobbs driving on the roads, and Gilmore Girls has been hooking me in so I don't get enough sleep at night, but other than that, life is pretty great.  TR is still teething, and that top guy hasn't popped through yet, but he seems to be in less pain.  Oh!  And he … [Read more...]

Cupcakes’ Christmas Wedding

For this week's Saturday Laughs, I'm going to recount for you Cupcakes' description of her "Christmas Wedding".  It's pretty much the cutest.  In her words... Fire Fighters, Zombies, Sunglasses & other Saturday Laughs

5.  Cupcakes put her [anti-thumb-sucking] glove on her one hand (we lost the other glove in the move), and held it up to daddy, and said: "I'm a fire fighter." Dramatic Pause "A fire fighter that kills." on kills, she extended her arm even further.  No idea where she got any of that, haha. 4. I send this picture to my sister.  She hates winter even more than I do, and she does NOT appreciate Christmas stuff at Target a month before Halloween.  Hahaha.  I'm … [Read more...]
