7QT: Science Fiction & Artsy Stuff

- 1 - #Updates Tootsie Roll had his 1 year doctor appointment last week.  He's still doing well, but his weight is starting to taper off.  Our doctor says that's typical as they start to get more and more mobile.  He's happy and developing on track.  She asked me if he says any words yet, but he does not.  I guess I won't start to get concerned until he's 18 months if he doesn't have any words yet. One morning last week, I was nursing him early in the morning, and when he was done he saw … [Read more...]

Nap Time Reviews: The Social Network & Feed

"We lived on farms and then we lived in cities and now we're going to live on the Internet!" - Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker in The Social Network Both my kids are sleeping and I'm watching The Social Network.  <-- As soon as I typed that, they woke up.  Ha!  Anyway, I'm pretty fascinated by Facebook.  It changed the world.  In many ways, it's brought people closer together, and in other ways, it's caused us to become more isolated.  A lot of people have a lot of opinions, but as for … [Read more...]
