Fun & Easy Firework Art Project for Kids

Fun Firework Art Project | For Love of Cupcakes | @4LoveofCupcakes

I found this great simple 4th of July art project on Pinterest, and I already had all the supplies necessary to do it!  This was such an easy craft and Cupcakes really enjoyed it.  The tricky part was finding the time when she was awake but Tootsie Roll was napping.  We squeezed it in because she actually woke up before he did during the afternoon nap!

Supplies:

– Red & Blue Paint
– A White Piece of Paper
– About 8 Flexi Straws
– Scotch Tape

Instructions:

1. Assemble the paint tool with the straws as pictured.
This is actually a lot trickier than I thought it would be so I recommend making two parts.  Spread out 4 straws in a half-circle shape and tape them.  Then do the same for the other 4 straws.  Tape both half-circles together to make a whole circle / firework shape.

2. Put some red and blue paint onto a paper plate or other surface.

3. Use the straw tool to spread the paint around and get a good mix of red and blue.

4. Stamp the paint onto the piece of paper.

5. Repeat until you get the desired look!
