Cardboard Box Activity: Make a DIY Play Car

cardboard box racecar

We’ve been doing all these home improvement projects to rectify all the violations our foreclosure home has.  One of the projects we have to do is install an area well.  I didn’t know what that was until we had to look it up to fix it.  It’s kind of like a window well, but I guess more rare.  So we had to order it online.

Lowes (who by the way is not sponsoring this post, as much as it might appear to be) sent our area well over in this fun Cupcakes-sized box!  How could we NOT do something with it??

  1. This is adorable! The last thing we made was a playhouse out of the cardboard boxes our new car seats came in – it was pretty epic :) But of course it was made out of cardboard, so it didn’t last long!

    • I *really* want to make a play house out of boxes one day!! Its true that they don’t last long, but that’s kind of the beauty of them… those big plastic toys you can buy are enjoyed for a while but then you end up getting rid of it. This way, they have a lot of fun and then you just recycle! 😀
