Welcome Pope Francis I!!! We love you already!! They’re talking about his humility and compassion so far. I can’t wait to learn more about him.
I was seriously so excited at work. I followed @popealarm and signed up for notifications on my phone so I would know what color smoke came out of the chimney (black meant no pope, white meant pope) and when it came back WHITE, I was at the edge of my seat wondering who it was. I texted Hobbs and raced home for my lunch break at 1:30 so I could watch coverage with my family. This was historic! Cupcakes was so interested in the things going on on the TV.
We were waiting and waiting to see the new Holy Father emerge on the balcony. UNFORTUNATELY 2:10 rolled around so quickly and we both had to leave for work.
As soon as I got in my car, I flipped on Relevant Radio and they said that the pope was announced. UG! I really would have loved to watch that moment with my family. Cupcakes kept saying, “He came out!” hahaha.
Anyway, we have a pope again. I feel like a sheep who’s shepherd is back! YAY! :-D

I feel you yesterday was the WORST day to get a new pope! I wasn’t home or near a TV from 11am-9pm. And my cell service was the worst to get any kind of video
Sad day but i’ll live 
My mom called me to tell me about him and that he’s a Jesuit. She’s so excited about that. Glad cupcake got into it too.
Congrats on the new Pope. He seems like he will be a great leader for the Catholic Church.
