… were the best! My mom got out a bunch of my old people and buildings, cleaned them off and set them out for Cupcakes when we went over there this past weekend. She LOVED them, and as I played with her I knew why!
She has some new Little People sets, but the buildings don’t seem to be as intricate. Of course, the actual people are more detailed, but I don’t like that. I love the simplicity of the actual Little People they had in my day. They were smaller so I guess the risk of choking is greater.
My mom always tells me that when I was Cupcakes’ age, all my buildings were set out bordering the living room. Every morning, I would get out of bed, run to our fridge to get my juice and then go play with my Little People sets. :) I do remember LOVING these toys!! I have been so excited to resurrect them for Cupcakes! :) (By the way, Fisher Price is not giving me any money for this post whatsoever… they might not even know I’m writing it.)
Though they share the same name, Little People of my time and Little People now seem like completely different toys.

Vintage Little People were my favorite! The Barn…the Camper…the Sesame Street set! Love, Love, Love that you wrote about this. Wish I still had mine. I too loved my Kenner Tree House set. Remember that? Or am I showing my age?
